here's a sample echoes...the bass is tamed a bit when rolled off, but the recording is brittle in the loud passages, that's what needs worka s well. It's not fom going over "o"...maybe the mp2 is the culprit...cuz I did run a lil gain on night 1 Vs zero gain on night 2...lemme know what you think or can do!

The raw source sounds great as is, IMO, no "work" necessary.

qft  much better imo than the second one with rolloff.  I don't have that good of system (athena home theater) and it sounds fine.  nice bass but not muddy at all.

I too like the first one better with a little bit of EQ on the play back side... I vote for keep it like it is. t+

My .02 is that 99% of the time leave the recording as is and let people adjust it to the way they like it as they listen.  Even if you eq it or run a notch filter listeners will probably end up adjusting it anyway.  I'd rather have the exact source and adjust it the way I want it in play back.

I know another taper that took a road trip for these shows from Phoenix.  I've only heard a sample from one night so far but it seems pretty similar to the untouched version to my ears.

IN SF I have used the paragraphic to eq bass, you can also stack the cuts if you need more too.
