Upgrading to new mics - Is the SP-CMC-19's good??
« on: June 04, 2006, 10:41:48 AM »
Hey all,

About time I started posting here as I've lurker for a little while.

Currently my gear is the following: Sony MD MZ-RH910 and Sony ECM-719 mic.

I want to upgrade the mics to something better (Don't get me wrong, I have had very good results with the ECM).

What do you think of the SP-CMC-19's??

My next gig will be Gun's N' Roses - NEC arena, UK (25/07/2006) and I hope to have new mics by then.

Thanks

I have those mics. Cost me damn near $100 at the time to have them shipped here to Canada with all of the taxes and duties. Send me your address via PM and I'll put them in the mail for you. No charge.

Open: SP C4/MSH-1O > Nick's Picks hydra cables > BM2P+ UA-5 > iRiver H120
Optional: Giant Squid cards > iRiver H120

Use your savings to get a battery box as these mics will brickwall easily without one. I'd offer up the one I bought from Krispy D a while back but I don't know where it is right now.

The mics will go in the mail Monday. Should I find the batt box between now and then I'll send you a PM.

You'll forget in time. No biggie. As for the kindness, it's not just for tapers you know.

Check your PMs for batt box info.
