AT8410...does direction matter?
« on: June 10, 2004, 02:28:40 PM »
Ok, looking at this page on the Oade web site, I'm noticing that in the picture, the mics go through the shock mounts so that the clips are closest to the capsules. In fact, on ALL of those mic config pages, the clips are in front. I've always done it the other way, with the clips in the back. Any reason to go one way over the other that anyone's found?

It makes my mics look bigger :P

Don't think it makes a diff, green.. I do it the same way they do just because it seems intiutive to do it as such.  It might behave a little differently switched around due to the weight/pressure from the cables.  Not sure!
