Recomendatios of an afforable USB interface: S/PDIF input at 44. 1kHz, 48kHz to USB
Thanks

Looks like the MAudio C400 has spdif and can be had for like $50 on reverb. Otherwise probably the Focusrite 6i6

I am not a fan of M-Audio interfaces; I've had problems with them in the past.
Focusrite 6i6 would be solid if you can find it. I think it's discontinued now and the cheapest unit with S/PDIF is now 8i6. Or you could try to find one of their older Saffire units. I used to have a Saffire Pro 14 which used FireWire, and it had S/PDIF.

Agreed on all accounts, just figured I'd offer up the cheapest option I could find. And yeah, the 6i6 is discontinued. Any of the focus units are great buys though

I'm a Focusright fan. Many used units on eBay or Craigslist.

I use the Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6. Has a ton of inputs as well as SPDIF in/out. Which allows me to transfer LP mode DAT tapes to my Mac.
