Title: MediaTab for Windows
Post by: tim in jersey on November 27, 2023, 01:54:33 AM
Cool little add-on (for lack of a better term) for Windows. It integrates into the Windows File Explorer shell and adds another, much more detailed info tab to the file Properties menu.

The stock "Details" tab in File Explorer is piss-poor at best. It only lists "overall bit rate" of wav files in kbps. I can never remember if 2304 kbps is 24 bit or not (it is) without doing a web search every friggin' time.

I mainly use it to quickly and easily see the bit depth, sample rate, and channel count of wav files directly from File Explorer without having to launch an app or drag the file into a DAW.

im still on win7 but installing dbpoweramp adds a very useful context menu when you park your cursor over a media file
