depends on how anal you are if you want to put that you used the actives.  sonically it shouldn't make a difference

The cables aren't active, they're cables
They are called Active Cables because they are used when the mics are assembled in that (remote) connection.

MBHO refers to the configuration as "Extended preamp with balanced capsule attachment".

Call them active cables

Schoeps "Active Collette Cables" do not contain any active(powered) components to the best of my knowledge. 
(I don't think they have any passive components, either)
