Title: clipping soundforge help
Post by: alienbobz on October 05, 2004, 06:04:42 PM
Recorded a show last night. For the first minute, there is some bad clipping on the high parts. I was able to fix this during the recording by lowering my JB3, but this minute is still messed up. I have tried equalizing a few times with no help. The part that seems to be causing the clipping is the vocals. Is there something I can do with this? What else would you recommend besides equalizing, or what would be a good start point for equalizing? I have tried looking at other posts but I get confused. Any help would be great.

Try the Vinyl Restoration Tools...I think that's what they are called....

Dude, try the find>replace tool.  I think it goes tools>find>glitches>replace.  Hope that helps

Couldn't find either thing. The find replace thing doesn't help, and I can't find the declipping function anywhere. Does anyone else have some suggestions? I just want to reduce it from being so damn severe.
