Title: ok...with new gear comes new power requirements...
Post by: Ray76 on June 30, 2005, 07:57:07 PM
so here is what i have/.....or WILL have soon

m148(this ones covered)
v2-dont have anything for it
coax mod sbm-1-nada
722- the internals do well with it, i think?
svu-2.nada...the power cord is f'ed up
mma6000-??

can someone make suggestions for these/?i did a search, but seems as though most here have the inside scoop as to what works best for what. i will for now be using the m148 and sbm-1 together, along with the svu-2
and will be using the v2 , sbm1 and svu2 together..

this is all to test the waters, but nonetheless i need to go ahead and find power solutions for all of these. links are appreciated.

mma6000 internal 9volt coppertop rectangular dry cell battery gives long life (basic drugstore 9 volt)

V2 = 4 pin xlr for 6 or 12 (7ah/6volt) volt depending on the unit

6V for SBM.  It will run for 4 hours on a set of 2300mAH NiMH.

The other option is to get leegeddy to make youa VRbox and run all that stuff off a pair of lithium 9V wallly world batts.  That guy is making 'em for everyone and from I hear, they work like a charm.  Ring him up!

+T Ray, I forgot to get you for the Wavelab calulation spreadsheet you sent.

722 - you'll need a bigger battery than the stock one that comes with it. The stock battery will last about 90 minutes at 24/96. Many of us 7-series folk have purchased a 6 Ah battery to supplement the stock one (I call the stock my "opener" battery).
