anyone have any experience with some of the mixers and preamps that are marketed towards the Eng. field ?
for example...such brands as :
- RDL (radio design labs)
- Azden
- PSC
- Rolls
- ATI
Rolls makes a pretty nice (at least by the specs) transformer based 2ch preamp that is supposed to be their "high end", and its still cheap. http://www.markertek.com/Audio-Equipment/Audio-Processing/Microphone-Preamps/Rolls-Corporation/MP222.xhtml?RLS-MP222

No experience with RDL.
Friends don't let friends buy Azden.
I have used PSC.. good.
I have used a couple of Rolls products, and they did the job. Good bang for the buck
No experience with ATI.

Too bad that thing doesn't have inserts or I'd have a use for it.
