Title: Securely attaching Dead Rats to CA-11 Mics?
Post by: rockphantom on October 04, 2019, 12:47:01 PM
I am planning to tape an outdoor concert next weekend. I will use my CA-11 mic. I would like to attach the Dead Rat windscreens to the CA-11. However, the CA-11 mics are too narrow and the Dead Rats keep sliding off. Does anyone have suggestions on how to securely fasten the Dead Rats to the CA-11 mic? Thank you!

You can use gaffer tape to build it up. No sticky residue either, just don't cover the vent holes if they're cardioids.

I put them over the windscreens and they rats don't come off.

I use tiny elastic bands from the wife’s rainbow loom collection. They are about 5mm around.
