I just want to know how fast of a CF card to get without spending crazy money on warp speed cards.
I'll get one that's a bit faster than spec'ed.
I just need to know what that rate is...!?

I just scored an FR-2LE on eBay for $65. (shipped) and it works PERFECT. no issues.
(no battery, card, case, strap, manual etc...either)
It's like a gift.

so does anyone know ?
please...

thank you !

Use a SanDisk card and nothing else if you want reliability.

jealous....

The guy posted it as 'Broken/ For parts' because he didn't have an internal battery or an external supply to test it.
He got it that way.
Apparently he gets used equiptment from somewhere.
I got just the deck, nothing else.
I tested ALL the functions with an external battery, and everything seems to work fine.
I ordered an internal with charger. Still didn't get it, so no info on that test.

I guess I got lucky.
I spoke to the guy on the phone, and he said if I test it, and if it won't turn on, he'll refund the $$.
I took a chance, and I win !

Totally random find.
I've wanted one for sooo long too.
gotta have patience...

So Lexar, Sandisk, aData...

Any word on Transend, Panasonic ?

I have a Sandisk 4GB Extreme III (30mb/s) CF for now.
It's the only CF card I have that's fast enough.
I definately need an 8GB (at least) if I'm doing shows.
