Nomad JB3 Tapers FAQ
dklein:
Doing it with digital in gave a bit more accuracy - I replaced the pic above. It turns out they are more like 4 dB steps. I had also mapped a value to the 3rd row down, which ends up being grouped with the -1 dB (full scale).
The bottom line is you really have to push them near the top.
auroboros:
The ubiquitous "greybox"'s real name is POF-820. Run a search in google 'POF-820'.

Seems I've exceeded the max posting size, so...posting version history info separately. Link to original NJB3 Tapers FAQ post (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=16338.msg205083#msg205083).

Subject: A guide to replacing the screen on the JB3
Hi group,
I've written a guide to replacing the screen on a JB3. I haven't had
a chance to convert it to HTML, but it's available as a 7MB PDF (with photos).
You can get it here:
US letter format:
<http://rapidshare.de/files/5382041/Replacing_the_LCD_screen_on_a_Creative_Jukebox_3_V1-Letter.pdf>http://rapidshare.de/files/5382041/Replacing_the_LCD_screen_on_a_Creative_Jukebox_3_V1-Letter.pdf
A4 format:
<http://rapidshare.de/files/5382144/Replacing_the_LCD_screen_on_a_Creative_Jukebox_v1-A4.pdf>http://rapidshare.de/files/5382144/Replacing_the_LCD_screen_on_a_Creative_Jukebox_v1-A4.pdf
Please distribute as necessary.
Please note that apart from Gary Swandell's UK eBay store,
www.swandells.com, I have no idea WHERE to get the displays.
cheerio, and I hope this helps someone.
Nick
