what size of tech flex should i buy for belden 1804a cable

i believe if you are doing L/R individually you use the 1/8th, if togethor the 1/4....

we will see what others have to say...

They've got a table that will show you the minimum & maximum diameters that might help you.

I used the 1/4" for some DC power cables I made recently. I think the 1/4" nominal would be too small for mic cables.

Depends on the wire.   Standard canare star-quad is right at 1/4" OD.  The 1/4" nominal should be fine to dress a single wire but not for a pair.  There should be a spec for the belden somewhere.  Get the OD size and the nominal size techflex should be a decent match.

Any particular reason you want to dress the belden?  IMO, the main purpose for techflex is to secure a bundle or to make the cable less visible.  You really need it for cables with the white teflon tape jacket.   But for regular mic cables that will be on the floor of a venue, I'd be concerned about beer getting between the techflex and the inner jacket.
