I use the Fujifilm x100t and it is an amazing camera.
Maybe also would recommend Sony rx100, which I use to own.

The Sony sensors have had good reviews recently. I used to run Canon stuff, but switched over to Sony a few years ago. Pretty happy with the results.

I'm running a Sony a6000 with a variety of lenses (see sig). I'm mostly a landscape photographer, but family shots on occasion too.

I haven't used enough different cameras to fully be able to recommend something, but I'd put the Sony's on the list.

Lumix and Olympus are m4/3's.  Sony and Fujifilm are aps-c.  All four are plenty capable of delivering great images.  I've done the m4/3's and now have Sony and Fujfilm systems.  Sony for action and Fujifilm for Fuji's awesome color.  Check dpreview for reviews of Sony NEX6, NEX7 and A6000 and so on.  Lumix GF-1, GH-2 and so on.  Fujifllm XE-1...
A lot of people run a race to see who is the fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Now there's a rabbit hole I'm going to have to jump into...  :yack:

Digital camera sensor sizes: There are full frame 35mm, APS-C (cropped frame), Micro Four Thirds, and a few others.
