Anyone know which battery to buy to power marantz 661?
« on: July 16, 2021, 05:27:35 PM »
I haven’t used outboard power since I carried around SLAs to power my ad1000 and portadat.

I’d like to pick up a modestly sized usb battery for my 661s that will run a long time, like 30 hours or more.

Thanks!

PS I’ve asked Ted to build me a cable, not sure if his cable powers any battery?

Talentcell seems to be the new gold standard for batteries. Ted will start making cables again in August.

I’ve been using Anker batteries for a bunch of years.. work great.. not 30hours great, but great IMO. YMMV.
I think mine are 21,000 13,000 mAh, but they make different capacities.

…if it’s not too late, have Ted put a right angle on the 661 end of power cable.

Marc I edited above.. my Ankers are 13,000 mAh.
And get 2 powers cables if you can.. sucks to break/lose one when you only got one. Been there.

….and as a bonus, same power cable works with the 620! 8)

Thanks, I figured I’d have to get a different one for the 620. And thanks for the reminder to get a spare power cable, and to make them RA. Been stealthing too long.
