PreSonus BlueTube DP V2 external battery pack
« on: April 17, 2018, 03:40:35 PM »
Hi,
What is the battery pack and where can I buy one?
I see the list of pre amps and batteries, but this model is not on there.

so, I am looking for a +12 VDC, 1A, center pin positive.

Just want to confirm that is the correct detail i need to search.

According to the online owners manual....

The documentation states 12watts of power (12v at 1amp) so you will need a battery with some guts...your battery will lose 12watt hours (wh) every hour you are recording...and you will want some buffer...speaking from experience with running a Portico which is another 12v 1amp power hungry Preamp

IMO...bare minimum is one of the larger (100wh & 132wh) Talentcell or the 185wh Maxoak K2 come to mind...

I think the Talent Cell will come with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm straight cable you could use...Maxoak will have an adapter cable that should work...but you most likely would want at Right Angle made by one of our cable makers depending on how you run it in your bag and other cables plugged into the back of this pre...
