Title: flac/shn on linux(ubuntu6.06)
Post by: nic on July 02, 2006, 10:14:10 AM
I've just finished migrating my Win 2003 server to linux and moved all of my data from ntfs drives to ext3 drives.

I havent been able to find a shn decompressor.  I have FLAC installed (I couldnt find any type of GUI....) but it gives errors when I try to verify a data set(I want to make sure the data copy was clean before I wipe off the ntfs drives).
md5sum is failing on checks.

xmms-flac is installed but will not allow me to play flacs(the plugin doesnt even list itself in the available plugins for xmms) and the link for the xmms-shn binary on etree goes nowhere. I did find the source but it will not compile due to a dependancy on xlibs that will not install either.

anyone have any ideas/help?
I would really hate to have to move 1TB over a lan to my Mac and back just to verify the data and convert the shns>flac...
