Best options for permanent stealth mics in glasses?

(1/3) > >>

Elguapo511:
Does anyone sell pre fitted glasses frames with quality mics?
Or is there a recommended Mic that is the go to. For this?
I get a new free pair of lenses for my prescription each year and didn’t lose or break my last pair so I am about to have an extra set.

Is there anyone out there that has made stealth mics permanently/ super secretly implanted into a lark of frames.

Professionally or personally.   I’m on the hunt .

I use the "Suiters Micro Croakies" You can get them at Amazon.

The mics i've used with them are-

DPA 4061
Sennheiser MKE2
Countryman B3

It takes some patience to get them mounted but it's worth it.

Im sure you can use many other mics like AT933-(also known as Sound Professionals SP-CMC-8)

As usual Beatkilla is "spot on" with his recommendations ... if I could add one, check out Microphone Madness. They will mount in the croakie for you and the mics are very small ... my buddy Mark uses a set and the results are TOP NOTCH. I'll see if I can get him to chime in and make a recommendation. If you want to hear a sample of a show he has taped with these mics, go here:

Here's the mics from Microphone Madness

Yes, the Microphone Madness model that PiedPiper posted above is what I currently use and I have been very happy with them. I never thought I find a croakie setup like the Sonic Studios but these Mic Madness croakies are WAY BETTER and to me they sound pretty darn close to the Sonics at 1/3 the price (not that you can buy new Sonic Studios anymore).

This sounds like something that would be really expensive - and for something that you can accomplish on your own for a tiny fraction of what your idea would cost.  Just get some croakies and use them to mount your mics on your glasses.

Here are what mine look like.  I slide the mics and croakies all the way up the temples to where they connect with the frames:

Even though I'm not particularly >:D about how I wear them, I have never been questioned, despite security approaching me four or five times over the years about my camera (I also shoot video).

Other things to to think about ... what would you do you if your prescription changes ... or something goes wrong with the mics ... ?
