I'm hoping to compare the specified Freq Range of a mic (once I get that info) with the range I've captured in a recording. I taped a show using a homemade (Greenmachine) battery box, and I'd like to know if it has any affect on the range of the mic. I basically want to make sure that the BB I built isn't rolling off any frequencies on me.
How can I determine the Freq range captured over a large .wav file? Audacity seems to allow Freq analysis of 10 seconds or so, but I'd like something I can feed a larger sample to (say a few songs) that will give me numeric rather than graphical results. Is there anything out there (preferably free, even better if it's for MAC OS X, though I can do XP or Debian Linux if required) that will do this? Or, can someone suggest another way for me to test this?
Thanks in advance for your insight.
