From what I can tell, you need to use a USB interface via an OTG cable and use an audio driver. Nick's Picks posted something in the last day about an audio recording app and in the Facebook group someone indicated that driver will work.

So, recorder line/headphone out > RCA in on USB interface > USB > OTG cable > phone usb connection > USB audio driver for android > Mixlr

If you have a problem relating to the Live Music Archive (http://www.archive.org/details/etree) please send an e-mail to us admins at LMA(AT)archive(DOT)org or post in the LMA thread here and we'll get on it.

I guess I need some kind of a USB interface then to make this happen.  Don't think I have anything like that these days.  I wish the Mixpre-6 would pass a channel selection via it's USB-A port but I think that it is set up for input only.

Bumping an old topic here

Can anyone share a link for a USB Interface and the proper drivers to install on my Android? Are there any more affordable options than Mixlr Pro? Thanks in advance :iamwithstupid:

The USB-A port does allow for stereo pairs to be sent to a device for streaming. I've used it to stream via an ipad. The device side sets the recording bitrate, however, so you have to be careful. There is a discussion sonewhere on this board about what you want to do as well as how to stream via iDevices (via a sonicport, via a TRRS cable ,etc)

I probably should have included the gear I'll be using. Just running a pair of CA-14s into a Tascam Dr-05 and want to run that audio to a pixel 3 for streaming. Would I need a sophisticated USB interface or would the adapter linked above do the job? Would also love any suggestions for what works best as far as apps needed for the phone thanks 😊

I think the challenge is that Android doesn't necessarily support audio in.  Have some folks been able to find a workaround?  Yep . Have I?  Nope.  Even though I am on a Pixel now I don't really feel like messing around and wasting money just to find out that it is still unsupported.  I only wanted to do Mixlr so I could broadcast live to the masses.  It not really an necessity.

I used thus cable when I had my Samsung and it worked great. I haven't tried it using the USB C wired headphone adapter on my Pixel 3.

I use a Behringer CA 202 or 222 connected to an usb otg cable bought in AliExpress. But I use coolmic app to stream, mixlr phone app only handles 36 kbps max.

Coolmic to a remote icecast server.

I can confirm it works with the adapter.  that said the usb c is very finicky on my pixel 2 so I'm using my old pixel xl that has an actual headphone jack

If you write the server address in the coolmic app with http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8000, it won´t work. Just leave as xxx.yyy.zzz:8000  if you use the port 8000. Also, son´t forget the username "source" or whatever you configured for that
