Tube amp with Grace m902?
« on: September 19, 2022, 09:30:43 PM »
My 902 doesn't get used much anymore and before I sell it thinking of pairing it with a tube amp. Something compact and not too expensive. Entry level. Under $500. Maybe Nobsound or Dayton? Everything I find that is new has a volume control and sometimes more than one set of inputs, so it's pretty much an integrated. Some of the vintage stuff is pure amp. No volume control and only one set of inputs. Not really looking for vintage. So, with a new tube amp that has a gain knob, I'm guessing just set it at say 50% and leave it. Use the Grace for the gain control. Thanks.

If you aren't power-crazy a pair of EL-84s and some European laminated iron sound great with it...
