Can I get a recommendation as to what is the best microphone to get for my Roland Edirol R-09?
I was thinking of getting this, I've never done this before.

A starter microphone to see if you like this hobby.

What type of music will you be recording? You want to make sure your mic can handle the volume. Where do you plan to be in venue? You trying to stack tape (record from PA) or set up in "sweet spot" in the audience, or open tape near the SBD?

Starter mics for a lot of people have been CA-11 or CA-14s. You will need a battery box or an amp to handle high SPL music though.

That lav most likely wouldn't be able to handle the sound levels at a rock show and would only produce a mono recording. You could check the yard sale section here to see if anybody is selling any Church or Sound Professionals mics or maybe a set of AT-853s. Otherwise with that turnaround time, you might be hard pressed to find a good set of mics that will get to you in time. You could try ordering direct from Sound Professionals (something like this with a battery box: https://soundprofessionals.com/product/MS-CMC-25/)

i have some church mics collecting dust. cant remember if they are ca11 or 14. one set is omni and one set is cards.

Church Audio cards would be a great mic for that location in an arena. Though you still will likely need a battery box to avoid distortion.

Yeah I just bought a battery box from them a few months ago

The linked microphone appears to be a USB mic - I don't think it will connect to your recorder.

And as noted, it is mono. But I see that your seat is very off-center, so maybe that is not of the greatest importance for this particular recording - but it would be for future events with more centred seats.
