Look no further than the 9.Solutions clamps, especially the Savior Clamp With Socket. You will never use a Super Clamp again after trying one of these. My full review here:

For stand clamping, I would recommend finding a smaller clamp. By the time you add a pound of clamp, plus bar/mounts/mics, to a stand it can get pretty top-heavy and sway quite a bit. Less weight also means you don't have to tighten it down so hard that you might damage the (typically) aluminum, narrow top section of the stand.

To the OP, both of these are excellent solutions. the Savior clamp (or Super Clamp whichever you choose) for rails, chair rails, tabletops etc. the Windtech C clamp is the go-to for smaller, clamp to your own or others' stand solution. e.g I own three Windtechs and one superclamp with stud.  Good luck!

^^ This is important. I have a ton of clamps, and it's often difficult to find a happy medium between the excellent, rock solid, heavy (450g or about 1lb) manfrotto super clamp, and lightweight little clamps.

Also, pay attention to how your t-bar attaches to the clamp. Many clamps only accept one 3/8" or 1/4" threaded stud, which is not always ideal (it can twist and come loose, so it won't fall off but your mics will be pointed the wrong way in that case)

I like the Manfrotto 386b nano clamp, it does have the twist issue unless you use the manfrotto quick connect or something with it. Voltronic's mini clamp looks good, too.

Rowi 76 is the most used clamp I have!  Doesn't work in all situation, but it is bomber for stand clamping or small rails.  You would have to find one used on Ebay, but if you keep and eye out it isn't hard to find one for a good price.
