ISO good digital 8mm camcorder...opinions..

looking for a fairly cheap digital 8mm camcorder...mostly going to be just used for playback....must play the digital tapes recordered in digital and must have a DV in/out..so a firewire can be used to hook up to my computer....anyone have some ideas...

I'd look on eBay for a used Sony model.  Sony models seem to be able to playback just about any tape - regardless of the cam used to shoot the tape.  You'll run into compatibility problems with some others brands (namely Canon and Panasonic).
