problem solved
« on: January 29, 2007, 09:39:33 PM »
found out the problem.  plugged it into the a pc and theres a folder called ".trash" where there were 30 pictures.  deleted them and  all is well

i have a sony dscp20 digital still camera.  its an old one my padres gave me, i have a 16mb sony memory stick.  when i goto the picture viewer on the camera there are none that i can view, because i've deleted them all on the camera.  however, i can only fit 3 pictures on the mem stick right now.  it says i have 600kbs free space but no pictures show up in the camera or when its plugged into the computer.
when its plugged into the computer it says the card hold 16mb and 600kbs availible.  there are no pictures but 15 mb is taking up space some where.  here are the files on the camera when i plug it in as appears on the screen.

Folder: dcim>100msdcf>(pictures viewed here, but there are none)
File:     hpothb07.dat (unix executable file, zero kb on disk)
File:     memstick.ind (unix executable file, zero kb on disk)
Folder: mssony>moml0001 (nothing in this folder)

when its active on the desktop and i right click>get info
Format: ms-dos file system (fat-32)  i am using a mac and i know this is a windoze file but i've transfered songs before on the mac fine
Capacity: 15.4mb
Availible: 495kb
Used:     14.9mb on disk
normally i can fit 20 or 30 pictures, as a remember doing a year or two ago...
