I am trying to decide if I like the W/mod for my intended use. I went to the Oade site and got the demos of various mods, but they do not offer a demo of the straight UA-5 to compare to. I can hear the differences between between P, T, and W... but I wish I could compare them to the unmodded version...
I really would like to compare the W/mod to the regular UA-5 where both were done with the same mics... better yet on some accoustic music.
I also listened to the V3... best of all but the extra 7 hundred wil not fly right now.

search around like this. might not have exactly the comparison you're looking for, but tons of samples over there. this is how i decided on my ua5 mod choice (i now own two units, a warm and a t-mod). what mics i use, and where i'm recording, generally dictates which box i use.
