Title: Why does my iriver 340 display blink?
Post by: yltfan on October 19, 2010, 04:53:17 AM
I've seen this a few times, but never figured out what's going on. Does not seem to affect the recording, but it freaks me out...the display starts blinking on and off, fairly quickly (maybe on and off each second or two). Anyone else ever seen this, or have a clue what's up?

If it matters, I was feeding it with 853's>ca9100 with a brand new 9v. Iriver battery was fully charged.

When I had an H120 it blinked when it peaked and would repeat if it continued to peak.  Not sure if that is what is happening with your deck.

Yeah, as jmbell says, there is an option to flash the backlight when clipping occurs, that could be it? You can turn it on/off in the Recording Settings menu more info (http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-iriverh300/rockbox-buildch10.html#x13-14800010)
