nak 300s are impossible to find now

Not really.....

Especially when considering the Teacs and Tascams too.

T-bone is selling a set. Then there are the clone versions too.  Really depends on what you want to spend and what config you are looking for IE: omni, cards, shotgun etc.  Then it depends on if you want stock or modded mics.  IF you really want this set up it can be found.

The Karma K10 mics have always interested me.  Then if you are real patient the ADK SC-t with card/omni set up show up every so often.  OR the AT/SP mics.  Or a complete Busman SDC set is a great deal and gives you almost any combination you could want.  The Church already mentioned too.  You could also be patient....very patient and look for Toa K1 or Toa KY mics.  kinda rare but the do show up at good prices and are truly a sleeper unknown mic.  And the budget AKG shown.  those will give you a lot of choices to pick from without breaking the bank.

Do you mean 'Rode'?  Pretty sure the OP is looking for SD mics and as far as I know Rode makes mostly LD mics, and the few SD mics they make are going to be out of the OP's price range.

I think you would find this to be a proven, cheaper in the pocketbook sense, mic that has made great tapes.
Quite a few people around here started off with the c4's. I have never heard anyone have anything negative to say.
I started out using AKG 39x series, which can usually be had in the yard sale for 300 pair.

Rode SDC line up consist of the NT3, NT4, NT5, NT55, NT6,  M3.....the NT3 and M# are medium size diaphram mics with a 3/4" size the rest are 1/2" design.  The NT4 is a stereo mic....  most are likely out of your price range but who knows on ebay.
