Looking for suggestions for a clamp that will hold my Canon VIXIA GX10. Anyone have some good recommendations? Thanks!

A serious camera needs a serious clamp.

Weight is 2.5lb on your camera (+any accessories you added).
If it were mine, I'd use a good Mafer clamp like a Manfrotto 035. That would give you a few 1/4"-20 threaded holes and also a baby pin+hex socket that is double-secured (screw+safety pin on the Manfrottos).
The real question is what base you need under the camera. Presumably, you need at very least a ball head, and maybe something more like a compact 3-way head? Do you need something that accepts a quick release plate (Arri or Manfrotto, etc.)?
If you want to go suuuuper light/compact, then just screw this into your camera's 1/4"-20 mounting hole and then plug the other end into the Manfrotto 035. you can swivel the clamp on the stand for left-right, and tilt the pin in the clamp socket for up-down.....

Your camera will be filming in vertical (portrait) mode, but 10sec to fix in post.

I use this.

I can recommend the iFootage MA5-6 Spider Crab magic arm. It's much sturdier than my previous small camera arm from SmallRig and mounting/unmounting your camera is super easy. However, it doesn't come cheap.

^^I also use a bunch of magic arms, though usually to add lights and mixpres to my camera tripod.
I have had very good luck with the Manfrotto magic arms. They come in tiny, medium, and big, with a lot of different attachments (you just need 1/4-20 on one side and, ideally, a mafer clamp model 035 on the other side)
It will work great, but unlike the solution I posted, if you loosen the knob too much the camera will want to drop and smash into the mic stand---have to keep a hand on it.

Actually, I was in Samy's today and walked by a bunch of these. This is probably the best possible solution. Plug the baby pin side into your Manfrotto 035 mafer clamp.
User one of these 2 depending on whether you use quick-release (which usually is a good idea):

I'm sure there are knockoffs by Kupo or Savage for cheaper.
