Title: Data recovery software
Post by: ts on April 01, 2022, 09:38:51 AM
Anyone have a favorite? In the past I used a service. Shelled out $400 and the hard drive they sent back to me ended up crashing. Not doing that again. The online stuff I've looked at offers 1 GB for free and charges around $70 for the full deal. I need to recover over 500 GB. Looking at this one:

Thanks!

Ugh, sorry to hear it. Not that this will help you at the moment, but since I signed up for Backblaze my data recovery process has been "order a replacement hard drive from them with all my data on it," which has worked out well.

I have had success on messed up SD cards with ZAR on the PC, but the free version might not do a whole hard drive.

Stellar Phoenix software found files that I deleted 6 months prior that I never knew I had deleted.

Good luck and back up the backups of your backups.
