Improved headphone amp
Improved voltage range for Hirose inputs
Look ahead limiters
XLR inputs selectable line or mic   (yay!  this was my biggest issue with the F8/F4)

Anticipated July delivery with pricing around $1200"

Where do you see this?  I can't find anything on it other than the PSS FB page.

It was posted as a comment in the F8n thread on one of the Zoom groups on FB. I would take it with a grain of salt until it's confirmed.

Zoom posted a video from NAB that confirms the four items. Apparently that all the known changes...

So far I'm really happy with my F8 so I don't have plans to jump to the F8n based on these changes

While the announced changes are nice, IMHO, they certainly aren’t significant enough to “upgrade” if you already have an F8 (I do).  And I personally don’t view them as worth an extra $200 over the standard F8.  I have managed to live just fine with the limitations of the combo jacks.  Yeah, better limiters would be quite nice (the best of the added features I think), but most of us know how to deal with setting gain  - been doing it for years without using limiters.  Maybe there are more new features that haven’t been announced.

I think the upgraded HP amp may be the most significant for the location sound people.  As far as the limiter, I would say until they put in an analog limiter then it's not worth crowing about.  Like you, I won't use any limiters anyway but many people need them.

^ ^^ I have always been in the "set levels conservatively and no need for a limiter" camp myself, but, I must admit, I have been using the limiter lately.  I still set the levels conservatively, but, particularly for quiet shows, I find it helps when the Loudest Clapper in the World is right under my mics (which seems to be every quiet show).  Maybe it's because the SD limiters are pretty transparent in that setting, or because they don't engage much, but it seems to help...

I wrote up my hopes, dreams, and wishes for the Zoom F8n:

(and hopefully even some firmware updates we might see for the original F8/F4)

Any one heard any more updates on the F8n? As its proper official announcement should only be handful of days/weeks away now.

Have been reading the manual, and this confirms the F8n can supply power to the FRC-8:

https://www.zoom-na.com/sites/default/files/products/downloads/pdfs/E_F8n.pdf

Which is nice, as the F4 could do this but the original F8 could not.
