vox is a free ios app that will play flac files. i have used it on my iphone

there is a paid version  that unlocks other settings but for simple playback the free version is just fine

f she has high speed wireless access another option worth considering to just stream the flacs from hightail, google drive or dropbox.  I have not tested google drive or dropbox personally but I do that sometimes using my hightail account.  I also plan to test this on my new 5G Samsung but as I understand it 5G should easily support the bandwidth of streaming flacs.  That would save her storage space on the phone.

Thanks guys, hugely appreciated!

Late response, but I ewould recommend what everyone else has given. From experience, if you were to send a flac to someone's phone number (iMessage), 60% of the time it decodes to m4a.

Depending on what iOS she has, (and iPhone), you can do a WeTransfer of the .flac files. If she downloads it, it would go into the "Files" app, where she can preview it from there. Storage heavy most likely, but should be okay.

MakersMarc:
Thanks!
