Hello, I'm looking for an inexpensive figure-8 pattern mic that sounds good. Any suggestions?

Are the ADK TLs large diaphram mics? What is the best price on one of these?

Also, are there any figure-8 mics that come in a small package, maybe about the size of a km140?

Thanks for the info!

That's funny you should mention the 4050's. I used to own a pair and are a very versitile mic although I personally didn't like the sound of them all that much. After reading a bit, I'm probably going to look into the AKG 390's with the figure-8 capsule. Thanks for all the info!

I've been using an AKG 394 lately. It's pretty much on par sound wise with the rest of the blue line series, and is probably the best value you will find for a figure 8 in a sd mic system. Solid mic for a decent price. Are you planning some M/S? I'd like to get a second one to try some blumlein, but I'm broke!!

Behringer B2 Pro

150 each and does card, omni, and fig 8.

alot of people here do not like the name behringer. They do make some crappy stuff, but for the money these mics CANNOT be beat. here is a sample.
