I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

Michael Fremer from Stereophile volunteered for this and apparently Randi canceled his offer. Michael has a write up of this in a recent issue.

thanks for posting that

Randi is a fucking tool who is only interested in self-promotion. His "challenges" are obviously written up by lawyers as they contain numerous loopholes and outs so that he'll never actually have to make good on any of his challenges.

he's a douchebag to the Nth degree

I'd say it is a dead heat between Randi and Stereophile.

GS has a thread about not being able to find a significant difference between coat hangers and Monster Cable.  I believe it has been tracked here, too.  Electrons are electrons.  <that should star something>  If I had a pair of $7K speaker cable I would damned sure hear a difference, whether there was one or not.  The emperor thought he had a snazzy new suit.  Is there a difference between cables?  Maybe.  Can you hear it?  I doubt it.

Not to resurrect a horse that should probably be dead but just as an example of the difference that cables make... I normally run Audioquest Jaguars for all my interconnects. A few days ago a Borrowed a set of Cardas Cross interconnects. It just so happened that Mr. Skalinder was there reclaiming some of his gear that he had been kind enough to loan me. Brian has maybe listened to my system for 30 min total. We swapped out the cables between the Universal player and the Pre amp and in seconds we both realized that the Cardas were way over ripe, too warm, and mushy. Not even close. This from someone with almost no time listening to the system and someone that owns it. I just wonder where I can do this deal and collect the cash!  ;D
