Topic: JB3 in Toronto?

I'm heading up to Toronto tomorrow to search for a JB3.  Anyone have any good suggestions for where to look.  Also, looking at mics/pre-amp/stand - looking for some suggestions on product and where to buy.

There is a really good deal for a JB3 in the yard sale right now, a 40 gig for $175, you wont find it cheaper than that.  Thats what I paid for my used 20 gig.

all i can say is good luck
anything you find in toronto will more then likely be over priced.  Your best bet is buying here used, and asking whoever you buy from to declare a low value for customs otherwise you will get killed on duty.

unforunatly pretty much any taping gear you need costs considerably more in canada 

Although for a mic stand you might want to check out some photo stores for light stands and then just get the adapater.  If you do find anything intresting in toronto i'd love to hear about it.

yeah - hang tight for a used or refurb.  I haven't seen anything here for a while and when I did they were ~$400 CDN + our wonderful 15% tax

I'm in Ottawa and have looked around.  I have never seen a JB3 for sale retail in Canada yet.  So good luck!
