Fiio X3iii - beginners tips / original firmware vs Rockbox?
« on: March 28, 2018, 01:01:10 PM »
I've got a Fiio X3 v3 on the way today along with a 200GB Sandisk card. Finally upgraded from my ancient Sansa Clip Plus which I loved but is now 5 years old and falling apart. With the Fiio - is there anything a beginner might not find so obvious at first? Also does anyone have opinions on running original firmware vs installing Rockbox? Rockbox was clearly better on the Sansa but that's a much older product.

Does Rockbox even support the Fiio??  Doesn't seem like they have firmware for newer players.  I have a V2 and they are super user friendly.
