USB to Macbook (Garageband) sounds like a modem!
« on: October 14, 2010, 03:23:46 AM »
Hi there...

I took a big step last night, and transfered some footage from my HHB Portadisc to my Macbook 13" (over USB) to look at in Garageband.

Everything appeared to be fine, other than a few flashed warnings from Garageband saying it had "detected feedback" which I thought was odd. However, upon playback, I realised that it had not recorded audio at all, but in fact the waveform shown was a tone-dialling modem type sound.

Now I know this is the bottom rung of technical questions- but as you can see; I'm at the bottom rung of technology! So what's happened?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

JimP
