I'm not getting any power to my v3 through a ec90 using 6v power. Was going to use my v3 tomorrow night but might not any more anyone have any suggestions
-
i'm using the one that came with it, or i should say the one that marc gave me when he sold it to me
-
might be a 12v cable, check to see which pins the wires are soldered to.
-
checked the cable and it's a 6v

The battery and the cable did not come with the unit. To tell you the truth i haven't touched it since i bought it till now. Haven't had any shows to go to :( i pused the pins out in the switchcraft a little bit more and it made no diffrence

i'm pretty sure you're having the same problem i had a few months ago. you bought it from someone using it with a normal 6v battery. the ec-90 has a regulator circuit to drop one output down to 6v. so the xlr end of your power cable has to be wired to engage the circuit by bridging pins 2&4, then pin 1 is negative and pin 3 is positive. you're gonna have to re-solder the xlr end of your power cable. it's a pain in the ass, but it's a great battery.
-
damn that sucks, how do i go about bridging pins 2&4
-
do you know how to solder? if not, i think you can send it to eco-charge and it will take them 10 minutes to do.
-
i can give it a shot but i don't think i will have it ready for tomorrow night. can you explain what i have to do. That might help me see what is going on a little better
-
you're gonna need a soldering iron, solder, desoldering braid and a multimeter. do you have that?
-
nope, won't be able to do this. Need to figure out what i'm going to do
-
call up your local electronics shop, tell them you are in a bind and see if they have somone who can help you out.. not a ratshack, a mom and pop shop
-
+T's for all help and this is the pin out i need to know correct
EcoCharge EC-90 V3 6 volt cable config;
Pin 1 = - / negative
Pin 2 & 4 jumped
Pin 3 = + / positive
-
great thinking moke :-)
-
the guy's also gonna need to know whether the v3 itself is pin or barrel hot.
-
thanks everyone, don't know where i would be without this board
-
