even without a stereo mix in the stacks id still run ortf if i was up front enough to run it. getting a stereo recording isn't entirely about what is coming out of the stacks, but also getting a feel for what it is like to be there.

yah remember the difference in all of the placement types din, ortf, etc, is just spacing
