Are the AT 853s truly the SP-CMC-4Us? ::)
Waiting the Church Audio equipment that I ordered and paid months ago I wish buy new equipment from Sound Professional, some users recommend the AT-853s (aka SP-CMC-4Us).
I have a Sony PCM-M10 recorder and I tape rock shows with loud sounds.
I saw on the Sound Professional site but am a newbie and I wish any advice before to do my order, what will I need for to supply that mics? 9v or 12v? SP-SPSB-1, 10 or 11? Is other stuff necessary?
and then... Is the low sensitivity modification for high sound levels recommended for to tape rock live show?

Yes

You will need something to power the mics for loud shows. Your PCM-M10 supplies 3V plug in power, IIRC.

Any of those battery boxes will be fine, 9V or 12 V. Two of them have bass roll off options. Get the low sensitivity mod if you are going to be taping rock shows. Mics, battery box and recorder are all you need if you are stealthing. Otherwise you will need some way of mounting the mics.

Here's the thread with my comparison test of AT-853s vs. CA-14s, FYI:

They're really, really close, and both work great with M10 + battery box.

IMHO You don't need the bass roll-off options with cardioids. They roll-off bass naturally. Save yourself a small amount of money :)

Many thanks for your answers...

What is the better? It's better 9V or 12V?
What does it change with 9v or 12v?
What is the bass roll option?

What is the preamp/battery box that you suggest me?
