Does anyone see any differences between these two mic stands besides the mm of difference in the footprint size.

On the 3353 page it says that the 3373 is the one with the black finish. So you're paying 5 bucks for a paint job.

pretty good way to spend $5 if you are going FOB, imo. no need for silver down there.

Yeah thats it, the 3353 is silver and the 3373 is black. good eyes, i didn't notice that. thanks.
leegeddy, that looks like a great stand, but i already have a large sturdy stand for section taping, im looking for a fob stand.

I picked up the 3373 stand for fob taping. The thing to do is to take a hacksaw to the legs and cut them down to about 10-12 inches to minimize the footprint. It is still very sturdy (if you see the fob pictures on some of Tim's posts from the fillmore, that's my stand with all those rigs on it, so don't worry about how sturdy it will be). It'll fit into a backpack, so it's perfect for low pro-file. Also, there's an adapter that fits onto the top for a 3/8 inch thread, you'll need that too.
