where to purchase boom stands..??

hey now just curious if anyone has come across a few places to purchase boom stands, ?? ive found a few out there such as shure and aea but wondered if theres more and where..?? seems like the shure its the cheapest best bet at this point..peace and goodvibes

Guitar Center has some good, and cheap boom stands

ive got a pair of rode nt5's , im looking for basics for a bar/small venue type setting ,  the shure s15a has been the most interesting to me but didnt know of others besides aea..

how tall are the gc stands.? im looking for up to 12ft (for future applications) , peace

boom stands typically arent used at 12 ft.  typically the highest they go is to cover drums as overheads.  you'd have to go to your local gc to check.  im sure someone out there makes a huge boom like that, but make sure to look for a very very heavy base on it.  you will be putting a tremendous amount of weight on it if you use a mic of any significant weight.
