After a couple loud metal shows, one of which under conditions I'd call very loud, I think my Shure FP24 didn't take too kindly to the heat of the DPA 4061s > MPS-6010 mic signal. Limiter on the FP24 was off but there's a little too much air around the kick drums and I get the hint of compression. I'd like to attenuate the battery box signal before it hits the pre but I would like to avoid the bulk of a typical 4" XLR attenuator. Does anyone make, say, -20 dB attenuation built into an XLR cable itself?
A few quick searches didn't yield much. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
