Topic: Phantom power > SP preamp? Can it work?

This may be ludicrous, but it never hurt to ask.  I'm running a new rig with Joe Meek 27's you can see in my signature.  Obviously the Phantom II powers the mics, but does not amplify the signal.  Would it be possible to use the SP preamp I have to boost the signal on these or is it unthinkable?
