Title: to power a hosa 312 all i need is a 9v battery clip and battery right?

Just making sure before i destroy the ac adapter, I don't really feel the need to power this forever on a 9.6 pack so I figure a 9v battery will be just fine for a couple hours at a time of using it.

I plan on just getting the battery clip + batteries of course, cutting the ac adapter that came with the 312 and attaching them.

I'm not missing anything am I?

someone has done the staright 9v over here, i just cant remember who ???

worked no problem  :)
anyone who doesnt need the (nearly) unlimated supply of an rc pack and wants a smaller / cheaper battery solution this is deffinatly the way to go.

I have some extra 9v battery clips if anyone needs one since they only come in packs from radioshack.

suite, yeah, for doing festies like i do, and rc pack is def needed, but overkill in any other situation :)

Until the cost of buying 9v alkaline batts for every show exceeds the cost of the rechargable solution.  If you tape frequently, it won't take all that long to happen.  And then there's the eco-friendliness of rechargables.  At any rate, glad you found a solution that works for you!
