Title: 1st Time Recorder Needs Advice
Post by: emsp80 on July 09, 2005, 12:48:21 AM
I plan on recording a live outdoor concert on 7/17 and need some tips on how to get and make the best recording. I have a Sony Portable MiniDisc Recorder (MZ-R37), 2 good quality mics and a battery box with bass roll-off filter. These are all the things I was told I would need to do a good job. Now all I need is some experinced live recorders to give some tips on how to get in with this equipment and make a good recording.
Thanks ^-^

The mics are Stealthy Cardioid Mics and as far as the battry box it has the bass roll-off filter. Heres is the link to the site i got them at: http://www.core-sound.com/lcmics.html. The things I got from here are as follows: Low Cost Binaural (LCB) microphone set, Low Cost-series Battery box (fixed bass roll-off filter), Low Cost-series Adapter Cable (necessary for battery box). ^-^

Also, this is a GA event. So do I need to get a close as possible or just stay a few rows back ;D
