I have taped a few bands in this awesome format, but seeing as Blu Ray doesn't support specs that high... There are no programs (that I know of) that support these export specs.

Does anybody know of a good soft that can handle this task? I have tried Adobe Premiere pro Cs6, Sony Vegas 12, and Womble mpeg video editor.

If this is impossible, would I be better exporting to 1280x720 @ 60 fps, or 1920x1080 @ 29.97? Which is better for file integrity?

I was just going on what was said at adobe forums... I can't find anything to author these files in full format.

Does it need to be Blu-ray?
I tape in this format too and always create a MKV file wich can contain 1920x1080p 59.9 fp/s and lossless audio in e.g. flac or wave.   
You can also make chapters for the MKV file.

I've been playing around with Vegas studio HD platinum, and been able to export a .mp4 file in full quality. No chapter points, though. also only 1 selectable audio track in the final file. What software are you using? M4V sounds like a better option.

It's a bit difficult to explain for me but here are some points:

MKV is no converting, it's merging of two or more files. MKV is a container for files just like AVI is a container.
The best export option in Vegas therefore depends on the source material you want to merge.

I keep the same bitrate as the video part of the masterfile and merge it with lossless audio. Flac or wav.
You can check the specs of a file with a free program called mediainfo: http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

Once you know the specs of the file you want to merge into an MKV you know the export option in vegas. If vegas doesnt have a template you have can customize one into the specs you need.
If you render audio seperate (from a source other than the audio from your videofile) Find out how much Mbps of the videofile is for video and how much is for audio.

I prefer main concept over sony. I render a .MP4 file wich I merge with a flac or wav audio file by using mkvtoolnix. I make chapters with this tool as well.

My files are .MTS from a sony hd camcorder, and I have been exporting to mp4 anyway. I have also used mediainfo a few times, so your advice affirms that I'm on the right track!

So I edit and export to mp4 in Vegas... and merge the external audio I taped in mkvmerge, obviously exporting to .mkv>

Kind of defeats the purpose of shooting in 59.9... I want no loss of quality. That would drop half of the frames from the originals.
