24 bit recordings to share
« on: July 26, 2004, 06:05:23 PM »
I see a lot of people asking about getting some 24bit recordings...be happy to offer the 3 I have done as a B&P. Can do FLAC or burn a DVD-V disc that will play 24/96 out of most DVD players.

I got

Blues Traveler 7-19-04 Source: FOB, DFC, Schoeps mk41-->kc5-->cmc5-->V3-->firewire audiophile-->gateway 450 laptop@24bit/96kHz-->goldwave-->.wav-->cdwave-->FLAC or DVD-V (1 DVD for FLAC, 2 for audio)

Railroad Earth 7-24-04 Source: FOB, DFC, ADK 51TL (split omni's)-->V3-->firewire audiophile-->gateway 450 laptop@24bit/96kHz-->goldwave-->.wav-->ccdwave-->FLAC or DVD-V (1 DVD for FLAC of audio)

Sun Ra Arkestra 7-24-04 Source: FOB, DFC, ADK 51TL (split omni's)-->V3-->firewire audiophile-->gateway 450 laptop@24bit/96kHz-->goldwave-->.wav-->ccdwave-->FLAC or DVD-V (1 DVD for FLAC of audio)

Hey, thanks for the offer! I'm all over that Blues Traveler...do you have a 16-bit version dithered down for the unwashed masses too? I can probably do it myself to burn some copies for friends but don't want to just destroy the thing if you've already done it...

Yes, I have a 16 bit one I resampled. All these shows will also be going up on www.rochestergroove.com, not sure on the 24bit stuff though, even flaced that makes some big downloads. I can only listen via DVD-V discs, need to get a DVD-a player and some softare. PM me if you are interested in doing some trades.
