PC Playback
« on: November 06, 2004, 11:08:11 PM »
I have a Dell laptop that I'm looking to hook up to my sorround sound receiver.  What do ya'll recommend for a connection?  I don't have any good outputs on my computer so I would need either a PC card or a USB connection device.

I've got a Terratec 24/96 soundcard in my docking station for my dell laptop and playback out of that.  Running all analog connections as a 20+ foot run of optical cable across a high traffic area isn't exactly practical.

one of these: http://www.cascademedia.net/products.asp?catid=106&prodid=1463 would be great, but it might be too expensive.

What model laptop?  The onboard soundcard might not be too bad...
