Help Flac Errors 24bit
« on: June 25, 2005, 02:55:46 AM »
I have used wavelab in the past with no issues and now after I tracked everything out I went to flac to up and BAM!!

Mule2005-06-22D2(10).wav: WARNING: skipping unknown sub-chunk 'PAD '
Mule2005-06-22D2(10).wav: ERROR, invalid sample rate (96000) for --replay-gain

I know what the skipping pad is but WTF is invalid saple rate. The shows in the past have been 24/48 I though flac could do 96khz. Any thoughts?

Though you solved it, I must warn to NEVER use replaygain.
Out of the game … for now?

It's used to make all tracks have the same volume level relative to each other. It's supposed to keep continuity across an album. To us, that means it changes the track dynamics.

If you're using CD Wave to track out your 24bit wav's, you may want to select 'alternate 24bit format' when saving the individual tracks.  Fixed the FLAC error for me...
